Life can often feel overwhelming due to childhood experiences or recent life events. Bereavement, work-related stress, unfortunate circumstances, and health issues can all take a toll on your mental health, leading to anxiety and depression. Distressing and frightening events, whether one-off or long-term, historic or current can cause trauma, leaving you feeling helpless, stuck, and unable to live a fulfilling life.
Counselling provides a supportive, non-judgmental space for you to navigate through these emotional difficulties. It offers you the opportunity to reflect on and gain a deeper understanding of your emotions. Together, we can work towards finding healthier, long-term coping strategies that empower you to manage life's challenges more effectively, bringing clarity and resilience to your life.
initial consultation
It is important that you find a counsellor with whom you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and emotions. I recognise that taking that first step could be daunting, I extend an invitation for a complimentary initial consultation, lasting 20 - 30 minutes. This session can be conducted over the phone or online and will be an opportunity for you to express your goals and expectations, and reasons for seeking counselling, and determine if we can work together.
on going sessions
After the initial consultation, I offer both long-term and short-term counselling sessions tailored to your needs. These sessions will take place weekly on the same day and time that we have mutually agreed. I understand that unforeseen circumstances may sometimes prevent you from attending a session; however, a 24-hour notice is required for cancellations, or you will be charged for the session.
